The Award Winning Harkey House is an elegant, creamy yellow 1874 Italian Victorian Inn and was the home of former Sutter County Sheriff, William Pinckney Harkey. It is located in a quiet historical neighborhood, only a short walk to shopping and restaurants, and offers three guests rooms and Camilla's Cottage. The house's beautiful arrangements of fresh flowers complement ornate crystal and sunlit corners to compose a profoundly attractive and amenable dwelling. This Bed & Breakfast will charm guests with its beauty, sense of history and gracious owners.
"The Harkey House is wonderful!"
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the hosts! Everything was to perfection. Clean and well attended, I would recommend this to everyone. Breakfast was just perfect. Well located to other restaurants and shops.
Bob and Lee are great hosts, very welcoming. The rooms and grounds were very spacious, clean and well appointed. The hosts were very accommodating and gracious. We plan to go back again soon, and bring family and friends with us.
"Eclipse Road Trip"
Yuba City was on our way to Eastern Oregon to view the solar eclipse, so we booked our first night at the Harkey House. It is a wonderful house with great hosts, rooms, a wonderful breakfast, and a back yard that should be featured in House and Garden Magazine! But also important to use was that good restaurants (and shopping f you want this service) were walking distance from the house. We had dinner at the brew pub a couple of blocks away, and loved it.
What a wonderful place to stay if Yuba City is a stop on your trip! Bob and Lee are wonderful, the breakfast each morning made me feel I was back at the Cumberland Hotel in London! We stayed in the cottage and it was comfortable, private and right next to the pool! Thank you for being a part of my California summer!!
